本地学生首创网上连续剧　办“红星大奖”（上）

一群年轻人在资金、技术与经验匮乏的情况下拍摄了三部网上连续剧。有人批评他们制作不专业，也有人劝他们别浪费时间，但这群热爱戏剧的年轻人无畏嘲讽，只想借助拍戏把青春与理想完好纪录。

这群来自不同背景的青年三年前成立部落格，推出独立自制的网上连续剧"The Changing Point"，讲述年轻人在生命转捩点做出的抉择。受访监制兼导演苏朔安(21岁) 说，剧集并非学校作业，完全出自大家对戏剧制作的浓厚兴趣。

播映初期　劣评如潮

3年前，苏朔安招募了十多个对演戏有兴趣和懂得幕后制作的朋友，向学校借了摄像机，便开始利用周末时间进行拍摄。他当时虽然懵懂，却很有野心，一口气拍了十集之多。

剧集播出后，观众的负面反应令大家大受打击。朔安透露，一开始制作技术不纯熟，剪辑、画面处理和拍摄技巧都很生涩。许多观众看不过眼，在部落格留言板宣泄不满。这让制作团队意识到有群忠实网民正密切关注剧集。他们于是听取了观众的建议，加以改进，乘胜追击推出第二系列。

目前，网上连续剧每集点击率约3000人次。小商家也渐渐找上门，表示愿意赞助服饰。朔安说："演员的支持让我坚持把第二系列做得更好。播出后，好的评语多了，对我们是种肯定。"

预映延迟　网友"不爽"

如今，剧组正如火如荼拍摄名为《双尖塔》的第三部连续剧，讲述感化院内一群年轻人的故事。朔安透露，8集的连续剧，需耗费5个月拍摄。有一次女主角请假，导致拍摄进展被拖慢，原先安排的网上预映临时无法推出，结果引来观众反弹。有匿名网友便在留言板上指责："就算是网上连续剧，如果延后播出，也该事先通知观众。你们的做法非常不负责任！"

对此，剧组表示歉意，不过也希望观众网开一面，明白他们不是专业人士，需要更多时间协调拍摄工作。

The Pinnacle; Sole-Ragazzi!

Our two Brand New Shows trailer! The first show to be broadcast for 2009 would be The Pinnacle; a show about teenagers and counsellors at the Reflection Rehabilitation Centre (RRC). The Pinnacle premiers on 28th March, 07:00pm. The second show to be produced and broadcast for 2009 is Sole-Ragazzi; a show about a group of good friends who heads to the beach and enjoy pure company of each other. Sole-Ragazzi premiers in April.

This year would be the 3rd Year we would be having our Annual Awards Show. Our viewers would get to vote for 2 awards this year, namely our Best Newcomer Award, as well as our Top 7 Most Popular Casts Award. More details on the voting would be announced soon. The Pinnacle Online; The Newcomers!

In the last issue, it was our "Ah Ge". In this issue, we'll be bringing our viewers into the dimension of The Pinnacle's newcomer. Much has been told to them to prepare their bullet-proof vest for this week's online article. Why? Because it's to train them to handle and to tackle the amount of stress they would most probably get, from you; the viewers. In this issue, we would be looking at how the newcomers tackle some rather, "difficult" and "hurting" comments posted to them. We hope this would help them, on a great deal.

Case Study #1: Candy Yeo.

She is known for her high-pitched voice which has irritated the producer of The Pinnacle on a few occasions. "I felt like removing her from the show at times when she complains over the slightest things." Ouch. A rather low EQ move by this newbie. Complain. We're sure viewers reading this would get rather turned off. What we can learn from Candy? Be thankful for what you got.

The Hurtful stuff we heard:

Irritating voice. Low EQ that leads her to often saying insensitive things at the wrong time. She over estimates her confidence level and practically whines about everything she detest! How irritating and unprofessional can that be?! A viewer from Toa Payoh even wrote in saying "WHAT?! She shouldn't have been given such a meaty role!". Nuff said. Let's see how Candy Yeo would react to such comments.

Her Defence:

Well, I was quite bewildered by the choice of the producer to casts me in The Pinnacle, as my character was more of a comedy relief, I was unsure if I could portray the role well. However, I thought that I had to grab this opportunity when the role was being offered. The producer encouraged me a lot as he told me that he was confident that I could do it, but that also meant additional stress for me. I am a person who strongly believes in 勤能补拙. And to get started for the role, I even went to research on tips for acting...

Till today, I'm still not sure if I have done well. However, there are certain similarities between me and my role, MeiNa, as we are both annoying and overconfident about expressing what we think.

Producer:

She has done alright, but she can do even better if she complains less and listen more. I hope she learns how to appreciate what she has more as it would help her more in the future. The worst thing a producer or scriptwriter wants to hear is from a casts complaining about the most irrelevant thing, especially when logistics are all set. I take a very long time to win back a trust from a person who broke it. But actually, the above are my personal comments about her. What matters most is that she does and tries her best for every scene she get!

How would viewers feel about them? Did the producer make the right choice?

Case Study #2: Eragon Zhuo.

He is one of the fastest newcomer climbing up the ladder. "He is a nice guy to talk to. You can communicate as well as to ask him for advice." quips the producer. "We lack people with height 1.7metres and above here at The Pinnacle lah, thus must grab him tight tight." What can we learn from Eragon? Treat others the way you want them to treat you.

The Hurtful stuffs we heard:

He is always late for filming and is very weak at his character continuity. This leads to a serious overrun at times. We heard "So what if he has eyes that can act? No facial expressions equals to a zero." We also heard from another fellow casts that "he has a very short attention span, talk to him halfway his eyes will go sideways." Let us now see what Eragon Zhuo has to say...

His Defence:

First of all, I'm a total greenhorn to acting and secondly, I didn't know that my eyes could act?! As for the problem on my expressions, I would improve to look more convincing next time. And I would honour my word. :D Next, I guess I need to find an excuse to cover up for my short attention span.. but I'll try my best to increase my attention span and not to look sideways in future!

Lastly, in my opinion, I think that when we are the ones who are acting(digging), we won't know how far or deep the hole is, thus, I hope that the viewers can see the hole and kindly assists me in filling up the hole. Thank You!

Producer:

He is one of my favourite. Because I really like his acting. He has eyes that can act. But I guess he can still improve more on his facial expressions and how to managed his nervousness. Because, whenever there is a long scene that comprises of Eragon and Ah Jie, he would always seem to be very nervous and keeps forgetting his lines. But he is very lucky I guess, because I am very patient with him. I would like all viewers to look at his eyes during The Pinnacle.

Both Benjamin and Eragon standing beside Kenneth acting as MingWei. Benjamin would be taking on the role Lance, whom is MingWei's best friend and Eragon would be taking on YiHao, whom is MingWei's cousin.

Case Study #3: Vionna Chan.

Acting as a relationship wrecker. How about that? It ain't easy for this girl at all. Even the producer adds in "She is a very steady girl, when I tell her that she has to do a kissing scene almost immediately, her answer would be a definite okay." What can we we learnt from Vionna? Professionalism.

The Hurtful Stuffs we heard:

"Everything is rising due to inflation except for make-up prices? Why is her make-up so damn thick?! It distracts her co-stars whilst on set." says one co-star. "Wah lao, she think she like Fann Wong ah, pose until like that, sure not popular one. She got no 观众缘 face." says another Auntie from Telok Blangah. How would Vionna Chan respond to them?

Her Defence:

I'm doing my best for my role; Vivian and I am prepared to accept all the criticism that I would probably get from our viewers. But I guess I would take this opportunity to improve myself and I personally think that if there are haters of Vivian after watching The Pinnacle, it means that I have succeeded! For the make-up comment, I would like to clarify that I put make-up to cover the flaws on my face but i've cut down on quite a bit and hopefully by one day, I would go on set without make-up at all! I believe that everyone are unique as an individual and I hope to hear constructive comments on my acting so that I can improve on it!

Producer:

She's a very steady girl who would try her best to fulfill what is required of the script. But probably it's because of her age, she tends to think a little more on the intrinsic factors that the extrinsic. But give her time and I guess she would be able to improve more on her acting. I'm really glad she made a lot of friends and I'm also glad that we're closer now.

Case Study #4: Png Chin Teck.

It's always tough for a person with no prior acting experience to act in a drama series. "I have to agree that he has a extremely limited acting capability because we have gave him a few emotional scenes which was good to portray but sadly, he fell short of it. But you have to also agree that he's one of the best around when it comes to jovial scenes" feels the producer. What can we learn from Chin Teck? Happiness limits your sadness guage.

The Hurtful stuffs we heard:

"He deceives. He practically photoshops each and every picture he takes so that he'll look perfect!" says someone from the production crew. "He is vey stubborn. You tell him this he will say that. It's very difficult to work with a cow" says the director. "Mediacorp has Elvin Ng, Pinnacle has Png Chin Teck" says one teenager from a local boy's school. Ouch. Let us see what Png Chin Teck has installed for us.

His Defence:

As a newcomer, being given a role beside Brian has indeed added a huge amount of stress on me. Acting alongside with Brian would definitely make my acting look relatively pale, but thankfully, Brian has never failed to help me improve. Sad scenes are definitely not my forte, probably due to my personality. Nevetheless, I am willing to accept all constructive comments so that I can improve even more! And towards the photoshop issue, its true to an extent, but its to cover up flaws lah!

Producer:

We have to always rewrite Chin Teck scenes because we feel it's no use giving him scenes he cannot perform. We understand his capabilities and thus we hope that he can stretch his abilities to even greater heights with the script now more suited to his real-life personality. But from an actor's point of view, it's rather sad because he would not be acting another character, but himself.

Case Study #5: Jaslyn Seow.

Remember Miss Tan from The Changing Point Season 2? Jaslyn's her little sis'. The latest and youngest member to join onboard, she has this "natural acting scent" according to the producer. Maybe it's because of her drama background, that's why she's able to adapt to a brand new acting environment at a rather commendable pace. What can we learn from Jaslyn Seow? You must be adaptable in order to survive.

The Hurtful things we heard:

"She's a little anti-social. She doesn't like to join us for outings and meals." says a newbie. "She is so soft that her co-stars can't even hear her, causing a overrun which led to everyone being impatient. says another co-star. "She would be quite a cutie pie should she be groomed and if she's willing to open up more" says one Uncle from Geylang.

Her Defence:

Haha! I'm not anti-social! I'm friendly! It's just that i've been busy with school work and stuff, thus i've very little time to hang out with the rest for meals and outings. But i'll definitely try to make it in future. And also, I'm still new to this environment with new friends and new people, but i'm pretty shy by nature too! But when you know me more, i'm actually a very noisy and talkative person! I guess I just need to warm up more.

I'm sorry for the caused of any overruns as I wasn't really aware of my soft voice. But I'll work on the comments and improve on it! I would also open up more! And I would like to thank the anonymous uncle from Geylang for your encouragement!

Producer:

She's a very diligent girl. It's very difficult admist her busy schedules to take time off to film. She is natural in her acting but I find that she would be able to improve more if she interacts more with her co-stars to exchange ideas and thoughts. Otherwise, she's doing pretty well.

Case Study #6: Benjamin Ng.

Sadly, he was the only newcomer that we didn't have a chance to interview till date, hopefully we would, one day! But do catch Benjamin's acting, together with the 5 other newbies soon! The Pinnacle premieres on the 28th March 2009, Saturday at 07:00pm. Stay tuned and get your friends to catch our show!

The Pinnacle Online Issue 1!

The Pinnacle Online,

Issue 001, He is back!

In our first issue of The Pinnacle Online, we brainstormed on who we wanted to put on our very first cover story. We then decided that we wanted someone that everyone would be interested in. someone that grew up with us, someone so near yet so far, someone who is dear to us, and someone by the name of Tan Yong Ming. Someone, who is being termed as our “Ah Ge”.

Rising up to his ranks here at the top of our productions does not mean just luck alone. It requires a huge amount of hard work, and today, we would be bringing you through his journey to rising up the ranks. When The Changing Point was first produced, he was the very first casts to join us. Filled with uncertainty on how the show would eventually be produced or filmed, he stuck through thick and thin with us all the way till now. That; was in September 2006. Moving on to the start of filming for the first season, he had to juggle the task of helping and assisting the directors and newcomer’s acting, because he had more experienced as compared to us. He took off time to help the weaker ones and his patience lead to people respecting him as the King of TCP.

He was the best actor, everyone knew it. But being popular was never on his mind before, and beating Brian to get The Most Popular Male Actor Award was at our first awards ceremony in December 2007 came as quite a surprise to himself. He was always humble and never once felt proud of his achievements. He knew that hard work was important in order to do well. That’s the spirit that all our newcomers can learn from him. And towards the end of 2007 to nearly eight months of filming the second season of TCP, Ah Ge decided to take a break from acting and chose to give up a role offered in The Pinnacle. But there is something from the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank him, “thank you for accompanying us through the years”, a heartfelt thanks to the person who contributed so much of his time and effort for the success of the show…

1. You are our very first Cover Story interviewee! How did it feel when we told you about this interview?

I was happy and surprised when I was informed about the interview as TCP still regarded me as a friend and actively inform me about their events despite of my in-activeness in the production for so long.

Editor: We wanted to interview him because he has been missing in action for quite sometime and that I’m pretty sure many of us miss him and the fact that Yong Ming is our “Ah Ge” here! Hail the King!

For those who do not know what the term “Ah Ge” or “Ah Jie” means, it literally means Big Brother and Sister and those given the terms are deemed as professionals in their fields. And if you still don’t get the meaning, it means that they are somehow like the “King” and the “Queen” over here at our small stable of casts. The term “Ah Ge” was not given to Yong Ming because of his boyish looks, but because of his acting capabilities as well as his experiences he gained over the years. For your information, he has been acting since 13 years old.

2. What was your first show and how was it like to start acting at a rather young age?

My first show was a children drama named Storm Raiders. I had to be quite independent since young as I needed to handle a lot of things by myself, which included getting to the location as well as managing my time properly because my parents weren’t really there to help me to look after these things. Also, I had to act with people older than me except for the other four young casts who also starred in the series. I guess it felt kind of scary.

3. How did you improve you acting since then?

The directors taught me a lot since I started acting and I learnt a lot as different directors gave me different comments. My friends did help me a lot too; they gave me comments after watching my acting. However, the greatest obstacle I had to overcome was my inability to control my laughter on set, (a problem which I still have till now). Several directors have lost their patience on me because of this problem, and as I grew up, I realized that there’s no perfect acting in this world, and the best acting that one could portray out is to be at his most natural self and react to any circumstances like how he would do without thinking and what he should behave.

4. How do you feel about acting now? Do you still like it?

Acting was more of my interest when I was young. I wouldn’t say that I totally lost interest in acting, but it’s definitely not something I want to pursue for now.

But being “Ah Ge” is tough. On set, you have to be the most experienced, most senior, most everything. What is most sickening about it is that people would expect one takes or no mistakes at all from them. But we do know that Yong Ming was being scolded quite regularly when filming for TCP and we decided to probe further.

5. What did the director scold you for?

At times, I was being scolded for my non-stop laughing and for NGs. There are also occasions when I have my ‘bad acting’ days and that I could not portray the scene the director expected me to.

6. How did you feel at that time?

I felt quite discourage during that period when I got scolded repeatedly for my bad acting. Therefore I tried not to let the same mistakes happen again by asking more questions on how I should portray out my role.

Oh. So we do know, even the best of the best doesn’t mean a safe gantry when filming. A good reminder for the newcomers to better start revising your lines and asking questions when in doubts!

It looks like we are still stuck at the “Ah Ge” topic. There are two “Ah Ge’s” here at The Changing Point and The Pinnacle, namely Yong Ming and Brian. Brian. Wow. Ratings puller, Eye-candy, charismatic, handsome, charming, hot and basically everything most girls would dream about. The above terms were taken off tags on the TCP tag board about Brian. Do you see how influential Brian can be in the show?

7 . How close are you with Brian? How do you feel about him?

Brian is quite a good friend of mine and he tends to show his care and concern when he feels that you are troubled. He’s also very talented. He can sing, act and dance very well. I personally feel that he is also quite a matured boy for his age.

8. Brian. To be put on the stage with a guy with such qualities would definitely be terrifying, especially when you both are being called “Ah Ge”. Have you ever felt overshadowed by Brian before?

Of course! Haha! However, I do believe that we each have our own strengths and weaknesses. But I have to admit that he is a very outstanding actor, as he rarely makes mistakes when acting. I feel that Brian would really be a valuable actor to the media industry should he decides to venture into this line in future.

Director	Yong Ming’s acting is really very good. He is the only actor who can cry on the spot anytime, anywhere. It’s really not easy you know. I remember one scene where we were filming on the car-park’s rooftop where he needed to cry. He just kept crying and crying until I said cut. I was really impressed. I seldom praise people with the word impressed, but I personally feel that Yong Ming has the capacity to be a great actor in future. For an 18 year old boy, he’s a rare gem. But of course lah, I get irritated when he keeps laughing and laughing non-stop when his funny bone gets tickled, but I guess I scold him because I desperately want to see him act. Yeah, that’s all.
Kaile	His acting is GREAT LAH! Can cry, can laugh and can be serious. It’s like you can feel it when you watch the show.
Brian	He’s pretty natural and is good at comical scenes.
Adria	His acting is very good and very natural and he can portray his roles very well. Also, he is very popular with the audience.

So what’s up for Yong Ming over here at The Pinnacle in 2009? Are there any plans for “Ah Ge”? Or is he just going in Cold Storage without any new productions for him? What is he up to now? Fret not, the producer of the show has intended to produce a Chinese New Year Sitcom slated to be broadcasted on 25^th January later this month, and helming the show as the main lead would definitely be non-other than Yong Ming. The casts involve in the sitcom consists of a combination of the two shows; The Changing Point and The Pinnacle. With such a big stellar casts under him, how did he felt when he first received the role?

9. How did you feel when you got this show? Do you feel any stress or excitement since your last show was August last year?

To me, its like a reunion with the people from The Changing Point, and I look forward to be able to act with not only them, but with the newcomers as well! And yes! I wouldn’t admit that there is totally no stress for me at all when receiving this sitcom! Haha! My last show was quite sometime ago and I am afraid that my acting would turn “rusty”.

No matter the answer, we are definitely sure Ah Ge has a definite amount of anxiety in him. This time round, he would be the only character in the sitcom that has lines with all the newcomers. Something that the scriptwriter has never tried before, that is to have character development with each and every new character the script contains. With such an attractive script on his plates, we are CERTAINLY anxious about the end product. Also, being at the top together with Ah Jie also means that they would have the privilege to watch The Pinnacle first. Let’s dig some information about the show.

10. How did you find The Pinnacle after watching the first two episodes?

The script is great, the pacing and the story are all better than The Changing Point. I feel that the newcomers are very lucky this time round! They have got a better script for their character development this time, and most importantly, I felt that everyone in the show has improved (regardless of acting or chemistry).

The Pinnacle has swiftly moved into the second week of intensive filming! Though the transition from The Changing Point to The Pinnacle may take some time, (we've got insider news that it would most probably start broadcasting on 20th March 2009) but loyal viewers need not worry as we would promise you weekly updates whenever there is filming!

More insider news!

We heard that this show is at a MUCH faster pace as compared to TCP2. How much is fast and what type of fast? The action packed type or the fast and confusing type? The answer is... "We don't know either", as much of the plot is being kept as a mystery from viewers to give you all a brand new feel towards the new show. NEW and FRESH would be the key goals the producer aims to bring to viewers and viewers are assured they would enjoy The Pinnacle even more than TCP.

The Producer's promise: "It's an improvised script, matched with better acting from the experienced casts as well as a dose of freshness from the newcomers bringing a absolutely refreshing combination in the show."

With that, be assured you would have a rolling good time perhaps scolding and cursing our Ah Jie ,Lee Xian Huan; Next March.

Brand New Show: The Pinnacle

And today was the day the Production team of The Changing Point disclosed to the public of their plans for a Brand New Online Drama series titled The Pinnacle to hit the internet next March. Though the plot this time round revolves around a Rehabilitation Centre, most of the main casts for The Pinnacle are thankfully, still from The Changing Point. However, some names were obviously missing from the show, like Yong Ming, who acted as Bao Lin in The Changing Point.

Many regarded Yong Ming to be one of the best actors around in The Changing Point. But were surprised when he wasn’t offered a role this time. And to solve the queries, we were given a clarification that he was offered a role in The Pinnacle as the lead actor but had to reject the show due to his increasing workload from school. But fret not fans, as who knows if he may appear as a special guest appearance. We are keeping our fingers crossed for that.

Moving on, the male lead of The Pinnacle falls onto Kenneth Cheng this time round taking on the role as Chia Ming Wei who is a firm stander of justice, whom because of helping his brother, decided to send him to the Rehabilitation Centre! According to the Producer of the show, this role is suppose to be as contradicting as it seems, which may be difficult to portray as there is an conflict of interest.

Question: But why choose Kenneth to act as Ming Wei?

Producer: Kenneth was chosen because we wanted a tall guy to portray the role of Ming Wei, not forgetting also for a refreshing combination. We’ve all seen his improvement in TCP and I guess it’s time for him to try out different roles so that he can venture more into the acting roots. We have already started filming the show and I feel that he has hit every single expectation of mine; so far.

Let’s take a look at how Kenneth feels about his role.

Question: Let’s take a look at the other male lead in the show named Chia Wei Siang. Who was considered for this role?

Producer: Two of our best actors were considered for this role, Brian and Yong Ming. But I felt that Brian would be a better choice for Wei Siang because he has the bad boy look lah. And that I could visualize Brian with the lines better because this role would require many action and emotional scenes, plus all the love triangles implicated, it’s going to be one of the more challenging roles and lastly because Brian told me Ruikai wasn’t really that challenging. Haha. So I decided to throw one challenging one to him.

Question: But what if Yong Ming was free? Does that mean he would be role-less?

Producer: Definitely no! I personally felt that Yong Ming acted the best in TCP and he is such a talent that I would want to write and produce all my future shows with him as the lead actor. But to answer the question, I would have personally written another role out specially catered for him. A tailored made role for him. And that his airtime would not be any lesser of Brian’s role. People Ah Ge leh, cannot offend. But too bad lah, I would love Yong Ming to be in this show, but time forbids him and that’s just sad to know.

And thus, the younger brother of Ming Wei would be played none other by TCP’s Most Popular Actor Brian Ng! We are sure girls reading this article would be squealing with joy as they would get to see their Prince Charming on their screens once again. But how does our Prince Charming himself feel about his role as a rebellious kid this time round? How different is his role Wei Siang from TCP’s Rui Kai? And what are his expectations with his new flame in The Pinnacle?

One may be thinking “How about the Female leads huh?”
Don’t worry! This article would solve your questions too! The female lead for The Pinnacle would be none other than TCP’s Most Popular Female Actress Lee Xian Huan! This time round, we have got inside information that she would be playing the antagonist, Szetoh Ziling in the show! What?! TCP’s Ah Jie as a baddie?

Question: Why did you all choose Xian Huan to portray the baddie?
Producer: The answer is simple. It’s because I wanted to stretch her acting capabilities. She is capable of it and I trust her. I hope everyone can see an acting breakthrough. But I cannot tell you the extend of the breakthrough because we haven’t started filming Ah Jie scenes yet. But I’m serious with this role this time. This is the role with the most breakthroughs. A role I wrote with the most planning being made.

Question: Who was considered for this role?
Producer: Only Xian Huan. I’ve got plans for the other female casts. Because this is a very “man” and “brother” show, I can have like 5 male leads but only 2 female leads, thus I have to choose the female leads very carefully and judging from performance and popularity, the natural choice would be Ah Jie.

And thus, Xian Huan would be helming the female’s section and bring viewers into her dimension as a nasty counselor at the rehabilitation centre! Sadly, she was not present for today’s interview session but we will catch her soon; we promise! We’re sure you all are eager to watch her performance too!

On the other side, we have got another female lead this round, and it’s Best Newcomer Adria Tham! Apparently, she has had her break this time round portraying the role of Tao Pei Yu that plays both Wei Siang’s (Brian Ng) and Jun Liang’s (Png Chin Teck) love interest (awww) as well as Wan Yi’s younger sister, played by Xu Shi Ying. Wait a minute. Did we see Shi Ying’s name? Would she score a victory at an acting award next year? We earnestly hope that she gets an acting recognition award soon! All the best!

Producer: I am confident of the five newcomers. Each of them has an interest in acting and that is what’s most important. The newcomers would be refreshing for the show. I guess it’s going to be really a tough fight for the Best Newcomer Award next year.

Question: How did you all find the newcomers since there were no auditions this round?
Producer: Handpicked and sourcing from other films as well as interested parties. Take a look at their pictures; they’re all good-looking in each of their ways. I’ve got 3 new guys and 2 new girls. I would say a huge investment lah, not risk.

hello and greetings to all! We thank all those who have submitted in your applications! I hope you have recieved our mail from us! Just for your information, we would be having an open auditions, the details are as of below.

Date : 13th May 2007

Time : 11am till 12pm [ 1 hour only!!]

Venue : Republic Polytechnic

You will see a booth immediately when you step into Republic Polytechnic. Our friendly assistant producer would pass you your scripts and will roughly teach you how to portray the role out, we have no high expectations, as we would want you to enjoy the whole auditions.

But, you will still need to submit your applications by 10th May 2007, because we would need to make phone calls to you and also send relevant information to you, we may also be sending the scripts to your mail, thus we hope all of you interested would submit your application soon!

There is only one round of auditions, clear this round and you'll get your chance to act in The Changing Point, wishing you all good luck! meanwhile, stay tuned to Episode 2 and stand a chance to win tickets to the Get High Concert!

Welcome to our brand new section; Behind the Scenes!

Always wanted to know how we conduct our filming both Outdoors and at our Studios? This is the place you need to visit! With all the latest information and updates on our filming progress, do remember to come back and visit this page regularly! Or alternatively, should you have any request for any pictures, do feel free to drop us a mail at TCP! We'll be glad to hear from you all! Meanwhile, do enjoy some collections from behind the scenes!

This is one of the night scenes. We have to prepare our lightings before the filming starts and adjust the lightings to the mood required by the script.
A typical studios scene.
This is an outdoor scene filmed in Punggol. For such scenes, our casts must be strong both physically and mentally! One of our crew members actually felt sick after this scene!
A shade is required to prevent over-exposure from the sunlight.
A scene in studios where Rui Kai did something sweet for Hui Yun. We're pretty sure of jealous girls out there.
Scenes with knives as props must be acted and handled with extra care.

Filming can be real tough under the hot sun, especially when an normal outdoor scene stretches over a span of 8 hours!Memorising lines and positioning are equally as important!
Night scenes are the toughest to film as we need to set the lightings to the right mood.

Back at our Studios to clear some scenes. Studios scenes are much easier to clear because we can film be it rain or shine!
Like we said, lightings are essential, especially for Studios scenes. It can be real dark without any lightings!

Make-up is essential to cover up any 'flaws', especially for Outdoor scenes, where the sunlight would make our pimples even visible!
